Thermo-Clean launches industrial scent candles to enhance work-life balance

At a time when the balance between work and private life is becoming increasingly important, Thermo-Clean Group is taking an innovative step forward. Inspired by recent insights from an international study conducted by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health and KU Leuven (2024), we are introducing a completely new dimension of wellbeing: bringing the familiar atmosphere of the workplace into the home environment.

The study shows that recognizable scents from the work environment, when experienced at home, significantly contribute to a greater sense of calm, connection, and comfort. What began as an internal reflection on employee wellbeing quickly evolved into an ambitious innovation project. In collaboration with international fragrance experts and specialists in chemical extraction, Thermo-Clean has developed a unique fragrance collection based on authentic industrial processes from our clients.

Today, we are proud to launch four carefully crafted fragrances, already representing a broad range of our clients’ environments translated into a home setting. At the same time, our teams continue to develop additional scent profiles, including those for the bakery and adhesives industries, with the goal of building a complete and recognizable industrial fragrance palette.

Research conducted with an international panel of test users of industrial fragrances reveals a strongly positive trend, including an increase in perceived wellbeing of approximately 18–20%, a reduction in stress indicators of 12–14%, and an improved transition between work and private life for around 70–75% of participants. Strengthened by these insights, as well as the highly positive feedback from early users, Thermo-Clean is now taking the step toward the official market introduction of its industrial fragrance line.
